ProtectAIR solves the requirement for a mobile unit capable of operating 24/7 in occupied areas. Find out more...
Unique in the AIRsteril range is our ProtectAIR, designed for desk or tabletop operation with an adjustable fan. This product has understandably been popular for domestic use and office areas, but increasingly it’s becoming a unit of choice within many Care homes where the option to relocate as required, increase or decrease airflow to rapidly process air or operate completely silently, can allow it to do the job of several other products.
In Care Homes a ProtectAIR unit can be operated on:
• A dining table to rapidly clear cooking odours
• The Reception desk to ensure a welcoming pleasant environment
• Dressing table to silently freshen a bedroom
• Side table to reduce the risk of illness, clear allergens and eliminate odours in a Lounge
Whilst the AIRsteril MP100 (link to MP100) is well recognised as the leading mobile, rapid decontamination product, its high power and larger size make it an overkill for many situations where areas are constantly occupied and a smaller product would be more suitable.
AIRsteril units for occupied areas are usually designed to be wall or ceiling mounted, but sometimes this is not practical. Whilst the Multiflex range units (Link to Multiflex) have long had the option to sit on a high shelf or cabinet top, without sufficient height AIRsteril technology can take longer to get on top of air quality issues; as processed air falls towards ground level. The ProtectAIR draws in air at the base an drives it straight upwards with its chimney styled design allowing processed air to distribute much further than other products which is how it can operate at a lower height to deliver superior results.
"The UK banking centre at Canary Wharf is populated with modern skyscrapers featuring the latest in office building technology. The Credit Suisse UK HeadQuarters allows staff to make the most of windows which has meant that the main building services are sited in the middle of the building. As such with long air ducting, their luxury washrooms struggle to maintain air quality and a clean, fresh smelling work place.
They have installed AIRsteril for odour and infection control in their washrooms. Convinced that the bacteria and viruses that cause infections are killed by AIRsteril, the new offices will feature MF units to ensure staff absenteeism is kept to a minimum."

"On a Test Match day at Lord's there are 25,000 people, mostly males, spending all day watching cricket and drinking. With several visits per person during the day the gents toilets can have up to a 10,000 footfall a day. The staff have had difficulty in clearing the resulting odours. The stainless steel trough urinals in some of the washrooms create added problems.
Just in time for a major Test Match, AIRsteril WRX trial units were installed in two of the major washrooms. After just a few hours, the units had managed to get on top of the smell, then controlled the odours throughout the 5 day match. The facilities staff are very pleased and plan to increase the number of installations before the start of the next cricket season."
